Valhalla Armory Support

Help with the encrypted local vault, updates, diagnostics, permissions, Premium purchases, backups, imports, and troubleshooting.

Last Updated: July 30, 2026

Valhalla Armory is intended for adults age 18 and older. The application stores armory records in an encrypted vault on the user’s device and does not synchronize those records to an Asgard Solutions cloud account.

Start hereUpdate the app, restart it, verify permissions and storage, then copy the built-in diagnostics.
Vault privacySupport cannot remotely open, inspect, download, or repair the encrypted vault.
Account recoveryThere is no online account or remote password reset. The recovery key is the only recovery method.
Premium supportPurchases and restoration run only in the installed native iOS or Android app.

1. Before Contacting Support

  1. Confirm the installed app is current through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  2. In a published native build, open More → About Valhalla Armory → Check for Updates. If an over-the-air update is available, the app downloads it and asks whether to restart and apply it.
  3. Close and reopen Valhalla Armory, then restart the device.
  4. Confirm the device has sufficient free storage.
  5. Review the relevant camera, photo, notification, biometric, or file access in the device settings.
  6. Open More → About Valhalla Armory → Copy Diagnostics and include the copied text with the support request.

The copied diagnostics include app/build information, platform, update channel, masked RevenueCat configuration information, entitlement status, and read-only vault/database checks. They do not include full cryptographic keys, the full RevenueCat App User ID, passwords, recovery keys, serial numbers, photographs, documents, notes, or vault contents.

2. Password, Lockout, and Recovery Key

  • If a password was forgotten, select Use Recovery Key on the lock screen.
  • After repeated incorrect attempts, wait for the countdown shown by the app before trying again.
  • If biometrics are unavailable, confirm that Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint authentication is enrolled on the device and enabled under More → Security.
  • Biometric authentication is handled by the operating system and is unavailable in the browser preview.

No remote reset or backdoor: Asgard Solutions cannot recover a forgotten password, recreate a lost recovery key, or unlock the vault. If both the password and recovery key are lost, the existing vault cannot be opened. Starting over requires erasing local app data; a separately saved encrypted backup may be restored only with its backup passphrase and an active Premium entitlement.

3. Premium Purchase and Restore Purchases

Open More → Valhalla Premium in the installed iOS or Android app. The purchase screen retrieves the current store offering and localized price when available.

  • Purchase Premium completes the one-time, non-consumable purchase through Apple or Google.
  • Restore Purchases asks the store and RevenueCat to locate a previous Premium purchase for the current store account.
  • Restore Purchases is always available and is different from restoring an encrypted vault backup.
  • Purchasing and restoring are unavailable in the web preview and Expo Go.
  • If the app reports that Premium is not configured, the store is unavailable, no offering exists, or no purchase was found, copy the diagnostics and contact support.

Premium status is cached after successful verification so a known Premium user remains Premium while offline. A new purchase, store restoration, or fresh entitlement verification requires network access.

4. Encrypted Backup and Restore

Backup creation and backup restoration are Premium features under More → Backup & Restore.

  • A backup is a user-controlled, passphrase-encrypted .vabackup file.
  • The app does not upload backups to Asgard Solutions or remember where the user saved them.
  • The backup passphrase is not stored by the app or Asgard Solutions.
  • A backup must pass file-format, version, passphrase, and integrity validation before it can replace the active vault.
  • A successful restore replaces the active vault in one transaction. If the restore operation fails, the transaction is rolled back rather than leaving a partially restored vault.

Support cannot locate or decrypt backups. Keep the backup file and its passphrase in secure locations you control. Do not email a backup file to support.

5. Camera, Photos, Biometrics, Files, and Notifications

  • Camera: used for photographs and barcode scanning when the user selects those features. Camera capture is unavailable in the browser preview.
  • Photos: iOS may request photo-library access. On supported Android versions, the app uses the system photo picker and blocks broad image/video library permissions.
  • Blocked permissions: when the operating system no longer allows the app to ask again, use the app’s Open Settings option or open Valhalla Armory in the device settings.
  • Biometrics: require device enrollment and operating-system support.
  • Files and sharing: imports, exports, reports, printing, and backups use system file pickers or the system share sheet.
  • Notifications: reminders are scheduled locally on the device. The app does not register for remote push-notification tokens, and reminder text intentionally excludes serial numbers and collection details.

6. Free-Tier Limits and Locked Features

The free tier supports up to three records in each of seven independent categories: firearms, optics, accessories, ammunition records, range sessions, zero records, and maintenance records. Archived records count toward those limits.

Reaching a limit blocks only creation of another record in that full category. Existing records remain viewable and editable. Premium-only screens and actions display a PREMIUM badge or upgrade prompt.

7. Imports, Reports, and Exported Files

  • CSV/JSON import is a Premium feature. The import process validates and previews data before committing it.
  • If an import fails during the commit, it rolls back rather than leaving a partial import.
  • Correct flagged rows or mappings and run the import again. An errors CSV can be exported where offered.
  • Reports, CSV files, PDFs, photographs, documents, and backups saved or shared outside the app are no longer controlled by Valhalla Armory. Protect and delete those external copies through the destination used to store them.

8. Local Records, Uninstalling, and Device Replacement

Armory records are stored locally. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, resetting the device, losing or replacing the device, or installing a separate fresh copy can make the existing local vault unavailable.

Valhalla Armory does not automatically upload or maintain a server-side recovery copy before application or device changes. Keep a current encrypted backup before clearing storage, uninstalling, resetting, replacing, or transferring devices.

Review the Data Deletion guide before erasing the vault, clearing application storage, or uninstalling the app.

9. Information to Include in a Support Request

Email support with:

  • The copied diagnostics from More → About Valhalla Armory
  • A concise description of the problem and the result expected
  • The exact steps that reproduce the issue
  • The date and approximate time the issue occurred
  • Whether the app was installed from Apple App Store, Google Play, TestFlight, an internal-testing track, or another approved build channel
  • Relevant screenshots with sensitive information removed

Do not send: vault passwords, recovery keys, backup passphrases, complete RevenueCat identifiers, firearm serial numbers, encrypted backup files, private documents, purchase card information, or screenshots containing sensitive armory records.
