Delete Valhalla Armory Data

How to permanently erase the encrypted local vault and remove copies that exist outside the application.

Last Updated: July 30, 2026

Valhalla Armory does not maintain an Asgard Solutions cloud account or server-side copy of the user's armory vault. Deletion of armory records therefore happens on the device where the vault is stored.

Primary deletion actionMore → Data Management → Erase Entire Vault.
Vault contentsEncrypted records, photos, documents, drafts, reminders, and other locally stored vault entities are removed.
External copiesBackups, reports, exports, emails, and shared files must be deleted separately.
Purchase informationStore and RevenueCat purchase or entitlement records are separate from the armory vault.

1. Before Erasing the Vault

Erasing the vault is intended to be permanent. Review the following before continuing:

  • If records must be preserved, create a current encrypted .vabackup file first. Backup creation and restoration require Lifetime Premium.
  • Store the backup file and its separate backup passphrase in secure locations you control.
  • Deleting the active vault does not delete a backup that was previously saved or shared outside the app.
  • A retained backup can recreate the deleted vault data if it is later restored with the correct passphrase and an active Premium entitlement.

Permanent action: Asgard Solutions cannot remotely restore an erased vault because it does not possess a cloud copy, vault password, recovery key, or backup passphrase.

2. Erase the Entire Local Vault

  1. Unlock Valhalla Armory.
  2. Open More → Data Management.
  3. Select Erase Entire Vault.
  4. Enter the current account password.
  5. Type ERASE MY ARMORY in the confirmation field.
  6. Select Permanently Erase Vault.

The current implementation then:

  • Deletes every row in the encrypted local records table.
  • Removes the vault metadata used for the local username, password-wrapped key, recovery-key-wrapped key, security settings, and vault state.
  • Removes Valhalla Armory's stored biometric-unlock key entries.
  • Discards the decrypted in-memory cache and returns the app to first-time onboarding.

The application installation, database schema, application code, and store purchase are not removed by this action.

3. Archive, Disposition, and Record History Are Not Full Deletion

Record-specific actions behave differently depending on the type of information:

  • Archive hides a record from active lists while retaining it in the vault.
  • Disposition records a sale, transfer, gift, loss, theft, destruction, or other ownership event and preserves the ownership history.
  • Append-only ledgers and audit histories use corrections, reversals, or additional events rather than silently rewriting prior history.
  • Some subordinate records may have their own removal controls, but those controls do not erase the entire vault.

Use Erase Entire Vault when the goal is to remove all locally stored armory records from the current vault.

4. Delete Backups, Reports, Photos, and Other Exported Files Separately

Valhalla Armory cannot delete copies that were saved or shared outside the app. Search every destination used for exports or backups, including:

  • The device's Files, Downloads, Documents, Photos, or shared-storage locations
  • iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or another file provider
  • Email messages and attachments
  • Messaging applications or system share-sheet destinations
  • Computers, removable media, network storage, or printed copies
  • Trash, Recently Deleted, or recycle-bin folders maintained by those destinations

Delete each external copy using the controls provided by the service or device where that copy is stored.

5. Local Reminder Notifications

Erasing the vault removes reminder records stored inside the encrypted database. The current erase-vault function does not explicitly call the operating system's cancel-all-scheduled-notifications function.

A previously scheduled local reminder could therefore remain in the operating system's notification schedule after the vault is erased. To prevent remaining alerts, disable Valhalla Armory notifications in the device settings or remove the application after completing the in-app erase process.

6. Premium Purchases and RevenueCat Data

Erase Entire Vault deletes armory-vault data. It does not cancel, refund, or delete the Lifetime Premium purchase.

  • Apple App Store or Google Play maintains purchase, refund, restoration, and store-account records under the applicable store's policies.
  • RevenueCat maintains purchase-entitlement information associated with a random, app-managed App User ID so Premium can be verified and restored.
  • The current erase-vault implementation does not remove the locally cached Premium flag or the locally stored RevenueCat App User ID because those values are maintained separately from the encrypted armory vault.
  • Armory inventory, serial numbers, photographs, private documents, and notes are not sent to RevenueCat for billing.

Use the applicable store's account and privacy controls for store records. Questions about purchase-related identifiers may be sent to Valhalla Armory Support without including firearm records or sensitive vault information.

7. Clearing Storage, Uninstalling, Resetting, or Replacing a Device

Clearing application storage, uninstalling Valhalla Armory, resetting the device, losing the device, replacing the device, or installing a separate fresh copy can make the local vault unavailable. Exact removal behavior is controlled by the operating system and device configuration.

When the device and current vault are accessible, use Erase Entire Vault first because it verifies the account password and deliberately removes the vault records and vault keys.

Clearing storage or uninstalling does not delete exported copies, cloud-drive files, emails, printed reports, or purchase records maintained by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.

8. Why Asgard Solutions Cannot Remotely Delete or Confirm Vault Deletion

Asgard Solutions does not operate a cloud database containing the user's Valhalla Armory inventory and cannot remotely connect to the encrypted vault. Asgard Solutions therefore cannot:

  • Open, inspect, download, modify, or erase records stored only on the user's device
  • Reset the local vault password or recreate a lost recovery key
  • Locate or decrypt a user-controlled backup file
  • Confirm that every external copy, screenshot, printout, email attachment, or shared file has been deleted

There is no online Valhalla Armory account that must be closed to delete the local armory vault.

9. Need Help?

Review the User Manual, Privacy Policy, and Support page before erasing the vault.

Do not email: vault passwords, recovery keys, backup passphrases, firearm serial numbers, encrypted backup files, private documents, photographs, payment-card information, or screenshots containing sensitive armory records.
