Raven Scout User Manual
A screen-by-screen guide to Raven Scout version 3.4.0, available on the App Store and Google Play.
Source of Truth
This manual describes the released Raven Scout 3.4.0 store build. It does not describe unreleased 4.0 development work. If a feature is not described here, it should not be treated as supported.
1. Account: Sign Up, Sign In, Sign Out
The first screen offers two sign-in paths.
- Continue with Google: one tap using your Google account email. No Raven Scout password is required.
- Email + password: choose Create Account to register, or Sign in if you already have an account.
When you create an account by email, Raven Scout sends a 6-digit verification code to your inbox. Enter the code in the app to complete registration. Codes are valid for 15 minutes. If the email does not arrive within about two minutes, check spam and then tap Resend code.
Brand-new accounts start on the Trial tier with its current analysis allowance. The in-app plan screen shows the exact quota and included features. Sign out from Profile -> Sign Out. Signing out clears the local session but does not delete your hunts.
2. Forgot / Reset Password
From the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password?, or from inside the app use Profile -> Forgot / Reset Password.
- Enter the email on your account.
- Raven Scout emails a 6-digit code from
support@asgardsolution.io. - Enter the code in the app, then set a new password.
- Sign in with the new password.
Limits
- Codes are valid for 15 minutes.
- Five wrong code entries on one code burn that code. Request a fresh code and start over.
- Password-reset emails to unknown addresses silently no-op.
- If you originally signed up with Google, add a password under Profile -> Set Password so both sign-in methods work.
3. The Home Screen
The home screen shows the Raven Scout brand, your Trial/Core/Pro tier badge, analyses remaining, a Manage Plan link, a welcome line, the Tactical Hunt Planning hero, and the primary NEW HUNT button. When you are out of credits, NEW HUNT changes to an upgrade button.
- SAVED HUNTS: opens your hunt history.
- CAPABILITIES: highlights Vision AI, Wind Logic, Overlays, and multi-species support.
- Disclaimer: Raven Scout is a decision-support tool only. Verify land ownership, regulations, and safety independently.
4. Creating a Hunt - The 4-Step Wizard
Tap NEW HUNT to open the four-step wizard.
4.1 Species
The released app supports Deer, Wild Turkey, Wild Hog, Coyote, Black Bear, Moose, Elk, and Pronghorn Antelope.
4.2 Maps
Version 3.4.0 uses the interactive MapLibre and MapTiler map as the only hunt-map input.
- Use device location or enter GPS coordinates to move the map.
- Pan and zoom to the hunt area, choose an available map style, and capture the map view in the app.
- Available map styles and analysis allowances depend on the current plan shown in the app.
- Multi-image analysis is live for eligible tiers and can use multiple in-app map captures as visual context.
4.3 Conditions
Fill out the hunt context. Location and weather fields may auto-fill when the required permission, plan, and connectivity are available.
- Hunt date and time window.
- GPS coordinates from device location or manual latitude and longitude entry.
- Wind direction and weather.
- Weapon and hunt method.
- Species-specific observations where the selected species supports them.
Known Hunt Locations
Eligible plans can add or select fixed locations such as stands, blinds, cameras, feeders, parking, access points, and custom locations. User-provided GPS locations remain user inputs and are not moved by the AI.
4.4 Review & Analyze
Review the selections, then tap ANALYZE HUNT. New analysis requires connectivity.
- The request uses the selected in-app map context, including multiple captures when the current plan supports them.
- It uses species, weapon, method, GPS, hunt date, time window, wind, weather, and selected known locations when present.
- Results can include ranked setups, map overlays, access guidance, avoid areas, assumptions, and species-specific notes.
- Cloud backup is live for eligible plans; availability is shown in the current in-app plan screen.
5. The Results Screen
5.1 Map + Overlays
After successful analysis, the captured map renders with plan overlays and a legend. Results can include stands or setups, travel corridors, access routes, avoid zones, bedding or habitat references, water, funnels, and other plan markers.
5.2 Top Setups
Results can include ranked tactical setups with entry and exit strategy, wind or thermal risk, pressure considerations, and timing guidance.
5.3 Saved Markers
Saved markers keep user-added locations and plan overlays with the hunt. Trusted GPS is displayed only when the app has verified map geometry; otherwise the result remains narrative rather than inventing a coordinate.
5.4 Tactical Brief
The written brief can include a summary, wind notes, best time, key assumptions, and species guidance. Review every recommendation against current maps and field conditions.
6. Saved Hunts
From the home screen, tap SAVED HUNTS to reopen stored plans. Reopening a saved hunt does not run a new analysis. For offline field use, save the hunt's offline field packet before leaving service; that packet includes a read-only plan, map snapshot, markers, and route references.
7. Profile & Account Settings
Tap Profile from any screen. The page includes identity, subscription, account, security, storage, privacy and legal controls, footer buttons, and the app version.

- Sign Out clears local session.
- Restore Purchases checks Google Play subscriptions through RevenueCat, and checks Apple App Store subscriptions on iOS.
- Delete Account permanently deletes your account, hunts, and eligible cloud-backed map captures. Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately.
- App version, build number, and Check for Updates.
8. Subscription Management
Raven Scout is available on the App Store and Google Play. Open Subscription from Profile -> Manage Subscription or from the Manage Plan link on the home usage card.
- Three tier cards: Trial, Core, and Pro.
- A CURRENT badge on your active tier.
- Action buttons such as Subscribe, Upgrade to Pro, or Switch to Core.
- Tier-based analysis quotas and plan features, including live multi-image analysis and cloud backup where eligible.
- Restore Purchases link.
The current in-app plan screen and device store are the source of truth for exact allowances, feature access, renewal terms, and regional prices. Purchases route through Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iOS. Cancellation must be done in your store account, and access continues through the paid-through date.
9. Additional Hunt Analytics
If additional analysis options are available for your account, the current in-app plan screen shows the amount, terms, and regional store price before purchase. Purchases route through Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iOS, via RevenueCat.
10. Local & Cloud Storage
Saved hunts remain available on the device that created them. Cloud backup is also live for eligible plans.
Local
- Saved hunt metadata, analysis output, overlays, markers, and in-app map captures are written to local storage.
- The Profile Local Storage card shows disk usage.
- Cleanup controls are available from Profile.
Cloud backup
- Eligible plans privately back up saved hunt data and in-app map captures.
- Cloud access is scoped to the signed-in account.
- Cross-device restore requires connectivity and the same Raven Scout account.
11. Security: Biometric Lock, Sessions, Account Deletion
Biometric Lock
Enable Face ID, Touch ID, or Fingerprint under Profile -> Security. When enabled, the app prompts on cold launch, not every screen change. You can disable it any time.
Sessions
- A successful sign-in creates a secured app session.
- Active use refreshes the session automatically.
- An expired session asks you to sign in again.
Password codes
Follow the expiration and retry information shown with the current reset flow. If a code no longer works, request a new one.
Account Deletion
Use Profile -> Delete Account. This removes your account, hunts, and eligible cloud-backed map captures. Active Google Play subscriptions and Apple App Store subscriptions are not auto-cancelled; cancel them in the store. Written deletion requests use Profile -> Request Data Deletion, which opens an email to support@asgardsolution.io.
12. Offline Mode
Works offline after you save a field packet
- A read-only copy of the selected plan.
- The saved map snapshot, markers, setup details, and route references included in that packet.
Requires connectivity
- Running or re-running an analysis.
- Fetching interactive map tiles.
- Weather auto-fill.
- Cloud backup and restore, purchases, subscription changes, and account access.
Save the offline field packet while connected. Do not assume an unsaved interactive map will be available without service.
13. Current Capability Summary
| Capability | Released behavior |
|---|---|
| Supported species | Deer, Wild Turkey, Wild Hog, Coyote, Black Bear, Moose, Elk, and Pronghorn Antelope |
| Hunt-map input | Interactive in-app map only |

Plan access and regional prices can change. Confirm the current allowance, included features, and price in Raven Scout and the device store.
14. Tips & Common Workflows
Build useful map context
- Pan and zoom until the hunt area and surrounding access context are readable.
- Choose a map style that exposes the terrain or cover feature you are evaluating.
- Set wind, weather, timing, weapon, method, and species to the conditions you actually intend to hunt.
- Add known locations and boundaries before analysis when the current plan supports them.
- Use multiple in-app map captures when multi-image analysis is available on the current plan.
Prepare for limited service
Open the completed plan while connected and save its offline field packet. Confirm the map snapshot and plan details are present before leaving service.
Switching devices
Sign in on the new device with the same account while online to restore cloud-backed hunts when cloud backup is included in the current plan.
15. Troubleshooting
- Cannot reach the service: new analysis requires connectivity. Retry on a stable connection.
- Map tiles are missing: the interactive map requires a connection; use a previously saved offline field packet when offline.
- Analysis limit reached: review the current plan options in the app or wait for the allowance to renew under the displayed plan terms.
- Purchase not recognized: use Restore Purchases from Profile or Subscription.
- Weather is blank: enter conditions manually if auto-fill is not available for the current plan or connection.
